Bought for only €5,- the build of this Matchbox Gloster Gladiator scene was an incredible fun ride. After seeing some pictures of a desert convoy transporting Gloster Gladiators the vignette scene was set.
The Monty's Caravan from Matchbox was used as the transport truck and the Daimler Dingo scout car is a lovely one piece resin kit from Early war miniature.
I'm not sure but I think my first kit (somewhere during the seventies) was a Matchbox kit and I still love them. This one is born in 1972 and not outdated at all.The only downside is the cockpit which is very minimal but I definitely gonna build another one if I find one.
The rigging was done using EZ line from Wingnut Wings. Colors are Tamiya acrylics and most of the weathering was done using acrylic ink from Liquitex.
